I'm reading Sorted! and happened to inadvertently come across this link - 31 days to an organised home. As it is Spring in Australia it is definitely time for a clean out and what better way to keep me motivated than joining a group of likeminded would be organised Mums. Looking forward to the challenge. So far my daughter's shoes have been sorted with 3 good pairs going to the Opportunity Shop. My sewing space (half a bungalow) will be a challenge, but I've started putting cottons back on my storage rack, things in drawers and I'll be sorting out my material and projects next. 31 days will just be the start of it but I can't wait to see how far I have got by the end of the month. Anyone care to join me?
Happy sorting and purging!
Michelle

Wow - Blog land here I come!
Hi there, it's official - I've signed up and am now a craft blogger! I have been so inspired by fellow bloggers and finally decided to jump right in and join them. I am looking forward to sharing ideas, creative juices and photos of finished pieces (as well as some of those longstanding ufo's - you know the ones I mean: on the bottom of the pile, at the back of the cupboard, not often seen but always lurking somewhere waiting to be finished). Time will tell if I spend more time in front of the computer than in front of my sewing machine or in my studio - hopefully not, more of a symbiotic relationship is what I have in mind.
Anyway, I am busy planning for my market stall which will be held locally in November. Admittedly I should be well beyond the planning stage and well into the creating stage, perhaps even the pondering what prices I should put on things stage. However, I usually work better under pressure, although I'm not sure whether that really is the case, I think I just say that to make myself feel better for my lack of organisation. And if you really believe in something, make it your mantra, surely it will come true?! Repeat after me: "I work better under pressure", now say it convincingly .... I really do think I just need to get on with it.
I'm also thinking of joining a pillow/cushion swap - have a look at this link http://dutchsister-s.blogspot.com/2010/10/send-me-pillow-that-you-dream-on-swap.html. Swap closes on 13 October so I'll have to make up my mind over the weekend.
Time to head off and sneak in a little crocheting before bed time.
Have a lovely weekend
lol Michelle
